The First Annual Essex Youth Triathlon was a huge success! It was held at the Manchester Athletic Club under beautiful sunny skies on Sunday, October 11 with 123 participants aged 5-14 successfully crossing the finish line to cheers from friends, family, and other triathletes! The Essex Board of Health thanks the Manchester Athletic Club for their generosity in hosting this event and doing so much more. We thank HillTop Training for their fantastic organization and running of the race, along with the many other people who helped in so many ways to make this a successful, healthy, and fun day for everyone. We want to thank the families and friends of the youth who ran this race for their support and encouragement of the participants; this is a priceless gift to them. Most of all, we want to thank every boy and girl who participated in this
race. Each of you is a true winner. Each one of you should be proud of the work and effort you put into this event. We hope it helps guide you to an enjoyable active & healthy lifestyle. We are honored to be a part of the first triathlon for many. |
