Library Events –December 2016
 
ALL AGES! Join us on Monday, Dec. 5th as we make HOLIDAY CARDS FOR VETERANS. Drop by anytime between 3-7pm to create a special card & lift a Hero’s spirits! Hot cocoa served.
 
ADULTS- Enjoy discussion and baked goods at the monthly ESSEX BOOK GROUP, Tuesday, Dec. 6th, 9:30am. Copies of this month’s read, “The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend” by Katarina Bivald may be picked up at the Circulation Desk.
 
ALL AGES! 3-D PRINTER DEMO & VIEWING, Wednesday, Dec. 7th. Drop by between 7-8pm as science and engineering educator & Ipswich resident John Banister-Marx presents an open demonstration.  John will have his home-hobbyist $200 entry-level 3D printer running and be answering questions regarding this new and exciting technology suitable for ages 8 and up.  The printer will be running continuously, and free small prints will be created on a first-come first-served basis. 
 
KIDS! Ages 5 and up -Don’t miss our GINGERBREAD GALA, Saturday, December 10th at 1pm. Celebrate the season with stories, themed activities and by decorating your own giant gingerbread house cookie! REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Stop by the Circ. Desk.
 
KIDS! Ages 5 and up-take part in our HOLIDAY  CRAFTERNOON! Make a tissue paper “stained glass” ornament on Monday, December 12th, 3pm.  This special event is part of the Cape Ann Reads Library Activities. Please sign up at the Circ. Desk.

ADULTS & TEENS-Join us for our second HANDICRAFT NIGHT, Thursday, December 15th, 7-9pm. Bring your current project to work on in the company of other hobbyists. 

TWEENS & TEENS, Grades 6-12– HOLIDAY PARTY! Friday, December 16th, 6pm. Enjoy cookie decorating and holiday film favorites! Sign up now. Invite a friend!
 
KIDS! All Ages– It’s STORYTIME WITH SANTA! Tuesday, Dec. 20th, 4pm.  Join us for stories and photos with the man in the red suit!
 
The Library will be CLOSED Dec 24th-26th for the Christmas Holiday.
