The best way to determine exactly what path your project will require is to consult the Building Inspector early in your planning process.
All applications must be complete and date stamped by the Town Clerk prior to submission to the Planning Board.
Scenic Roads: Belcher, Choate, Apple, Story. Inquire with Building Inspector and/or Tree Warden if you are unsure the proposed work will require a Special Permit Application.
For Form A/ANR Applications & Site Plan Review Applications: please submit Three (3) Copies of the Plan and One (1) Copy of the Application Form to the Town Clerk as well as a Mylar Plan if you will need to record the plan at the Essex South Registry of Deeds.
For Special Permit Applications, Preliminary or Definitive Subdivsion Plan Applications: Ten (10) Copies of the Plan and One (1) Copy of the Application Form and the Mylar to be recorded by the applicant are requried.
FEES: The application fees may be found in the document to the left side of this web page and either personal checks, bank checks or money orders will be accepted; no cash or credit cards please.
QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS: If you have a question or a concern that you wish to have the Planning Board review, please submit a letter and send it to the Planning Board either via regular mail or email. The Planning Board will review the letter at the next public meeting and will respond promptly.

MEETING SCHEDULE: The Planning Board typically meets the first and third Wednesday of each month at the T.O.H.P. Burnham Library unless otherwise noted. As a courtesy the office may post the Meeting Schedule on the Town Calendar on this web site. The Meeting Schedule will always be posted with the Office of the Town Clerk.
