REQUEST FOR WRITTEN OFFERS
The Town of Essex is accepting written offers for the following surplus vehicle:
1991 GMC Sierra K3500 4x4 Truck with utility body and skid pump/tank
Written offers must be submitted to the Essex Town Administrator/ Chief Procurement Officer, 30 Martin Street, Essex, MA 01929 by December 20, 2017, at 11 AM, where and when they will be publicly opened and read aloud. All~offers must be clearly marked on the outside of~a sealed~envelope with “Town of Essex Surplus Squad Sale” and inside must contain the name “Surplus Squad” for which the~offer is placed, the amount of the offer and the name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address~of the offeror. All~offerors must execute a certificate of non-collusion, which is available from the Essex Town Clerk. The squad and any contents included therewith are available for inspection by appointment by calling Essex Fire Department at 978-768-6363. The squad and any included contents (which are in need
of repairs) are sold “AS IS” without warranties of any kind and without representation of fitness for a particular purpose. The minimum offer will be $1,000. The surplus vehicle and any included contents will be awarded to the party offering the highest price. The Town of Essex reserves the right to reject all offers. The successful offeror is expected to render payment, made by bank check, payable to the Town of Essex, in full, and collect their purchase within five (5) days of notification of offer acceptance.
