Third Floor Displays & Presentations

August:  The Women of Essex display returns to the 3rd floor.  Stop by and learn about some of the women who helped shape our tpwn.  Also check out the Then & Now Posters.  See how the Town's departments have changed as the Town has grown.   

September:  The Historical Society/Shipbuilding will have a display.

October:  This month is Fire Safty Month.  We will have displays of fire gear and how it has changed.  There will be a CPR course offered.  Parents, Grandparents, caregivers and babysitters are invited to a basic first aid presentation.  When to take care of it at home, when to drive to the doctor's or call the ambulance.   Dates for these presentations will be posted soon.

November:  This is the Potporie Month.  There will be guest presenters every Thursday evening.  Thursday, November 7th, Michael March will discuss antiquing in Essex.   This is your chance to see if that old vase from great aunt Margaret is valuable.  Guest include Sally O'Maley, Shep Means, Michael McCoy, Linda Story Seppala and others.  Do you have some stories to share?   Contact Dawn Burnham at dburnham@essexma.org        Monday, November 11th there will be a Veterans Day presentation at 7pm on the 3rd floor of Town Hall.

December:    Many decades ago the women of the Essex Historical Society made quilt squares all different patteerns, colors and materials.  Stop up and see their handywork.
