1727 | "Great Earthquake" aroused religious fervor, followed by Revival |
1735 | Great epidemic (diptheria) of four years duration in New England |
1744 | Earthquake during church service, causing congregation to rush to the street. No damage to the building. |
1748 | Severe drought. "Fasting and Prayer Day" with special prayer meeting for rain. |
1755 | "Great Earthquake" - followed by "Great Religious Revival" |
1762 | Severe drought |
1772 | Severe epidemic of "Fever" (typhus); fifty persons died in 1772/3 |
1776 | Diptheria epidemic causing many families to lose all their children |
1796 | "Throat distemper" (diptheria) epidemic |
1816 | Big blizzard on June 12th |
