"Great Earthquake" aroused religious fervor, followed by Revival
1735
Great epidemic (diptheria) of four years duration in New England
1744
Earthquake during church service, causing congregation to rush to the street. No damage to the building.
1748
Severe drought. "Fasting and Prayer Day" with special prayer meeting for rain.
1755
"Great Earthquake" - followed by "Great Religious Revival"
1762
Severe drought
1772
Severe epidemic of "Fever" (typhus); fifty persons died in 1772/3
1776
Diptheria epidemic causing many families to lose all their children
1796
"Throat distemper" (diptheria) epidemic
1816
Big blizzard on June 12th
