How Businesses Can Get Involved

We would love to have your business involved with activities that weekend. A few ideas from businesses on how they might be involved have been:

• Tastings: wine, beer, mead, etc.

• Cooking demos 

• Store display

Background

In 2021 Essex participated in the State’s Local Rapid Recovery Planning (LRRP) program, which was established to help communities counter the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Several key recommendations came out of the collaborative LRRP process, one of which was to hold an off-season event drawing locals and visitors to the downtown and boosting spending at local businesses. The Town of Essex secured grant funding to hire a consultant to plan and execute this off-season event. The goal is that this initial investment will provide durable goods and an event template that can be used by Essex businesses and community members to run the event in future years
