2-22 COUNCIL ON AGING. As authorized under the provisions of Chapter 40, Section 8B of the General Laws, and amendments thereto, there is hereby established a council on aging for the purposes and with the rights and duties provided by law, to be composed of at least seven and no more than eleven residents who shall be appointed to serve for terms of three years. Appointments and/or reappointments shall be made by members of the council whose terms have not expired, and the appointments then forwarded to the Board of Selectmen for approval. For the initial appointments after the 1996 Annual Town Meeting, the Board of Selectmen shall appoint 3 members for one year, 4 members for two years and 4 members for three years.
